Join SPARC352 at 9:15am for a dynamic story circle showcasing the SPARC352 Humanities in Place Project, featuring powerful video highlights of past work. Then, get moving with an interactive dance activity led by a local choreographer!

The 4th Annual Artist’s Conference, presented by The Alachua County Arts Council, features a record 11 presentations on various topics of interest to local artists. The Alachua County Arts Council’s mission is to improve the quality of life of Alachua County residents by increasing exposure to the arts, expanding opportunities for creative expression by local artists, and increasing community resources for the arts.

A collection of three short films from the African Diaspora: “Pumzi”, “Afronauts”, and “Daughter of the Sea” that delve into Afrofuturism, migration and the fantastical, with community conversations led by a panel of UF faculty, Dr. Ariadna Tenorio, Dr. Abdoulaye Kane and filmmakers, Alexis Garcia and Nuotama Bodomo, moderated by Antoine Williams.
